(Senior) Innovation Consultant (Sustainable Construction)

About the job

As a (Senior) Innovation Consultant, you will help our clients to achieve their goals in innovative projects within the Sustainable Construction area. With your knowledge on digital, sustainable and energy-efficient construction you will make the connection between the innovative ideas of our clients and the many funding possibilities available for the realization of their R&D projects. You will also be able to participate in EU-funded R&D projects with top partners, to ensure the impact of the R&D activities developed to the consecution of the strategic objectives of the EU.

In this role, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Business development: Identifying opportunities with partners in the value chain for the generation of new innovative projects. Expanding your network with potentially valuable partners;
  • Writing EU grant proposals: Conceptualizing, visualizing, and refining project ideas to ensure high-quality proposals;
  • Leading EU-funded projects: Overseeing projects from inception to the delivery of official deliverables, including project planning, market and stakeholder analysis, workshop organization, business plan formulation, and exploitation (and/or replication) strategy planning;
  • Providing high-end innovation consulting services on a senior level, particularly for European Institutions, Technology Platforms, Sector Organizations, and large corporate clients;
  • Keeping yourself updated on the most significant developments within your area of expertise and providing coaching to junior consultants in our team.

About you

You have the following background:

  • You have at least eight years of professional working experience at relevant organizations. Previous experience in consultancy will be positively evaluated.
  • Proven knowledge on R&D projects in energy-efficient and digital buildings, sustainable construction, and the New European Bauhaus.
  • In-depth knowledge of European research funding programs, such as Horizon 2020/HEU, Built4People Partnership, Innovation Fund, etc.;
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken is required.

  • 95% remote working. Presence is required for quarterly and team meetings (usually taking place in Barcelona, Madrid or Valencia).
